Can you afford to have the value of your land cut by 75%?
Say NO to the County Commission’s Proposed Zoning Amendments
The Blount County Commission is trying to pass zoning amendments that would substantially limit housing production and infringe on private property rights.
If the Commission votes to pass this plan, it could mean the following:
-
Arbitrary limits could be placed on property owners’ ability to determine the best use of their property.
-
These restrictions are likely to drive up the cost of housing and lead to deteriorating housing affordability.
-
Housing production could be reduced by 75% – and property values reduced by a similar amount.
